The following pages provide a general overview of the possible use of Mitsubishi Materials Corporate logo for European distributors, when developing digital and/or printed marketing communication materials.
The Metalworking Solutions Company of Mitsubishi Materials has introduced new logo and brand guidelines for distributors. This is to ensure legal compliance to the regulations of the Mitsubishi Corporate Name Trademark Commitee and maintain consistency in its visual appearance worldwide.
When using the corporate logo, the relationship between the distributor and Mitsubishi Materials should be clearly indicated by the sentence “A Distributor of Mitsubishi Materials“.
Despite covering different aspects and use of the logo, official permission and prior approval by the local
MMC sales office and the European Headquarters in Germany is strictly necessary before the publication and use of any relevant material.
Application areas
Distributors may use the Mitsubishi Materials corporate logo only after official approval by the local MMC sales office and the European Headquarters in Germany on the following communication materials:
1) Printed materials such as brochures and promotion leaflets etc.
2) Advertising material in magazines, on displays, roll-ups, give aways etc.
3) Websites, webshops, banners etc.
4) Company signboards and business cards.
5) Exhibition booths, including booth walls, displays and product tables that present Mitsubishi Materials products only.
Distributors may not use the Mitsubishi Materials corporate logo on the following company communication materials:
1) Packaging materials, business services or any general materials, including but not limited to, company letterheads, contracts, invoices, sales proposals etc.
2) Advertising materials that do not show original products from Mitsubishi Materials, such as MPLUS etc.
3) Non-Mitsubishi goods, services, websites or publications that might imply that these are sponsored, endorsed or licensed by Mitsubishi Materials.
4) Company apparel that is worn during events, exhibitions or roadshows, implying that the company is sponsored, endorsed or licensed by Mitsubishi Materials.
Closing Words
All materials (printed and/or online) using the Mitsubishi Materials should be approved by the Marketing Departments of the European MMC sales offices and the European Headquarters in Germany.
Mitsubishi Trademark Association reserves the right to modify permission to display the logo on third party marketing materials if its use does not comply with the official guidelines as presented in this handbook. As such, Mitsubishi Materials may request that distributors modify or delete the corporate logo.
Furthermore, Mitsubishi Materials reserves the right to object to misuses of its trademarks or other violations of Mitsubishi Materials Corporate Identity and Brand Image.
